For the past few days, KCR expresses his distress on the center by saying that the Centre is not at all co-operating with the Telangana state. He bashes Bharatiya Janatha Party which is the opposition party in Telangana stating that they are holding a grudge on the Telangana people by giving insufficient funds.
Even in Sunday’s meeting, he raised this topic and and made some harsh comments on the financial minster at centre Nirmala Sitharaman. Now, Nirmala gave a befitting reply to Telangana CM KCR who is expressing unhappiness over the funds’ allocation made for the state in the Union Budget 2020-21.
“As the number of states came down by one and the number of Union Territories increased by two, there was some change in the devolution of funds to the states,” Sitharaman said. She explained that the 15th Financial Commission allocated the required funds for every states after a proper study and stroke out every allegation put forth by KCR and his son KTR.
She went on saying with detailed numbers and revealed that Telangana recorded one of the biggest increases in total Central transfers in last five years. The increase in transfers from Central taxes and grants was 128 percent during the period of the 14th Finance Commission. They said the devolution increased from Rs 46,747 crore in earlier Finance Commission period to 1,06,666 crore in the 14th Finance Commission period.
With this amount of clarity from Nirmala Sitharaman KCR might get baffled as she proved all his allegations were fake.
