After tasting pan-Indian success with ‘Karthikeya 2′, actor Nikhil Siddharth’s subsequent film, ’18 Pages’, turned out to be a massive flop. Fortunately, he decided against releasing it in Hindi.
Currently, he is promoting his upcoming film ‘Spy’ as a pan-Indian project, banking on the theme of Netaji Subash Chandrabose’s death to strike a chord with the North Indian audience. However, Siddharth is visibly nervous about the film’s prospects.
Sources reveal that the idea of incorporating the death of Netaji Subash Chandrabose into the film came after the nationwide success of “Karthikeya 2.” Consequently, Siddharth felt the need for more time to improve editing and reshoot certain sequences.
Unfortunately, the producer denied the request to postpone the film, forcing it to be released hastily on June 29th. Consequently, Siddharth finds himself under tremendous stress as the fate of ‘Spy’ on a pan-Indian scale will impact the reception of his future projects.
