The capital city of India, New Delhi is facing air pollution issues. After Diwali, the air pollution rate touched the skies and few people are now planning to vacate the region. The Air Quality Index touched 1000, which is said to be the highest till date in New Delhi.
Holidays were given to the schools and children were advised to stay indoor and wear the face masks. Government issued orders to give holidays to the children till 5th of November. In a polling conducted on the situation, 40% of the people opted to leave New Delhi. Air purifiers are no high demand and the government is approaching Engineering colleges to design solutions to solve the problem.
On the other hand, Kejriwal stated that the Diwali celebrations in Punjab and Haryana is the main reason for the air pollution in Delhi. As this situation is appearing couple of times a year, Indian government should strongly think about ending this problem with technology.
