According to the initial plan, the new districts of Andhra Pradesh were supposed to be inaugurated on April 2nd, which marks the Telugu New Year, Ugadi. However, the plan has now been changed, with the new districts now set to be inaugurated on April 4th. 13 new districts have been formed in Andhra Pradesh, taking the total number of districts to 26. All the new districts have been formed according to the look sabha constituencies, with the exception of Parvathipuram.
The state government also added 22 new revenue divisions, with Chandrababu Naidu’s home constituency, Kuppam, being made a new revenue division now. The state government also accepted almost all major demands for creation of new revenue divisions. An official gazette notification is expected to be given soon, about the inaugural of the new 13 districts on April 4th.
The buildings from where the official operations will take place, have also been identified by the concerned officials, and the operations are expected to start in those buildings immediately after the inaugural of the districts.
