India always considered Nepal as its younger brother. Majority of the trade related transactions of Nepal are with India. Several Nepali are working in India from several decades and few of them are even serving in Indian Army. Nepal is always in favor of India but in the recent times, Chinese influence changed the opinions of Nepal.
The current Prime Minister of Nepal KP Sharma Oli is highly influenced by the Chinese Government and the party released a new map with few regions of Indian territory as their own. It went to the Nepalese parliament and got approved as well. That time was when China was advancing into the Indian territory and Nepal too is making moves in support of China.
After the Galwan Valley incident, India proved the fact that the nation won’t step back in protecting its territory. This incident made several Nepalis come back to their previous state and few started revolting back on the PM KP Sharma Oli saying that he is inefficient and should resign. Interestingly, the call first came from his own party president Prachanda who is also the former PM of Nepal. Even though pressure is raising on KP Sharma Oli, the current Prime Minister is reluctant to resign.
