Prime Minister’s Office on Monday announced that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET PG 2021, has been postponed by at least four months.
The decision has been taken to make more medical graduates available to treat the Covid-19 patients as India fights its severest phase of the pandemic. The new date for the exam has not been announced yet.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi authorises keys decisions to boost the availability of medical personnel to fight COVID-19. NEET-PG Exam to be postponed for at least 4 months,” said Prime Minister’s Office.
“Students will also be given at least h of time after the announcement of the exam before it is conducted,” the release said.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-PG is a competitive examination for postgraduate studies in medicine.
