Narendra Chowdary, the former Jubilee Hills Cooperative Housing Society president and founder of Telugu news channel NTV. The highly-anticipated devotional program – Koti Deepostavam was conducted on a very grand note, unlike every year. The primary purpose of Koti Deepostavam is to bring together all the devotees and light one crore oil lamps by the end of the program. Started in 2011 by NTV owner Mr. Narendra Chowdary Tummala, thousands of devotees will take part in this program and seek blessings from Lord Shiva every year.
This year, Koti Deepostavam created a huge splash across the globe since it’s the first-ever devotional program, which was attended by lakhs of devotees despite COVID-19. Held on a grand note from November 12th to November 22nd, Koti Deepostavam was telecasted under the joint auspices of Bhakti TV, NTV, and Vanita TV.
As part of the Koti Deepostavam, several spiritual activities are held daily, such as special pujas, the blessing speech of the deans. This year, several pontiffs, spiritual trainers, and religious heads have graced the occasion. A few celebrities who attended 2021 Koti Deepostavam are: Ganapathi Satchidananda Swamy, Tridandi Srimannarayana Chinnajiyar Swami, Garikapati Narasimha Rao, Chaganti Koteswar Rao, Nanduri Srinivas, Telugu States High Court judges, Telangana RTC MD Sajjanar, producer Dil Raju and many others.
Some section of people was delighted for organizing the devotional program for the sake of devotees even in the challenging circumstances of COVID-19.
