Narayana, chairman of Narayana educational institutions, is all set to join the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh, YSRCP, the reports say.
Though Narayana lacks any political experience, as he supported TDP financially, he was inducted into Chandrababu Naidu’s cabinet as a minister.
In the last five years, Narayana was involved in several government activities. Especially, his involvement in the construction of capital city Amaravati is more. He had to face highest number of corruption allegations, when compared to the rest other ministers in TDP. Even the senior leaders of the party were surprised to witness the importance given to him by the party.
Narayana who aimed to enter the assembly, had to lose in the recent AP elections. Now the reports are rife that he is keen to join YSRCP, but a few of the ruling party leaders are unwilling to invite him, alleging that he is the king of corruption.
Meanwhile, Narayana’s relative Ganta Srinivasa Rao is already in contacts with YSRCP. While Narayana is planning to step into the ruling party in a day or two, reportedly, even Ganta is planning to join the Jagan’s party.
Narayana educational institutions had to face several controversies in the recent times and its CEO was constantly in the news for such allegations against him.
YSRCP also fought against Narayana educational institutions and conducted protests. As Jagan emerged as the new Chief Minister of AP now, anticipating that he would corner him, the TDP leader on the beforehand, is planning to join YSRCP, to be in the safe hands.
If at all, YSRCP rejects Narayana’s entry considering his track record on corruption and close association with Naidu, then he may consider joining BJP, the reports say.
