The Pulivendula assembly constituency has historically been with the YS family for many decades now. The domination started with YS Raja Reddy, and it was continued by Rajasekhar Reddy. Now it is the turn of Jagan Mohan Reddy to reap the rewards that were cultivated by his predecessors here.
Despite the best efforts to modify the YS grip in this constituency, no party has ever been able to do something of this sort. But it could be considered an alarming sign for Jagan, his majority went down considerably in this year’s election.
In the meanwhile, it is the turn of Nara Lokesh to receive a grand welcome in Pulivendula last night while he happened to visit the constituency by road after completing a cultural event in Kadiri yesterday.
Reportedly Lokesh was greeted by massive crowds that were stationed on the highway last night. Local TDP candidate Btech Ravi was also at the event, and he formally welcome to Lokesh to Pulivendula.
The mass turnout of crowds and the loud cheers that were observed immediately after Lokesh’s entry has become a topic of discussion now.
Comparatively things are not as promising for Jagan in Pulivendula these days. After having secured 90,000 majority in 2019, this number went down drastically to 60,000 in 2024 election. In the meanwhile, Lokesh received a warm welcome in Pulivendula.
