Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh visited the Real Time Governance Centre at the Secretariat and held a review meeting with officials on the situation of Telugu people stranded in Nepal.
Officials from AP Bhavan informed Lokesh that so far, 215 Telugu people are stuck in different parts of Nepal. The minister directed authorities to take immediate measures on a war footing to ensure their safety and bring them back to Andhra Pradesh.
Lokesh spoke directly with some stranded people in Nepal through a video call. A woman named Surya Prabha explained that she and others were stuck in a hotel after visiting Muktinath temple. Lokesh assured them not to leave the hotel until further updates and promised to be in touch every two hours. He also said the state government is coordinating with the central government to bring them back safely.
