Andhra Pradesh minister and TDP leader Nara Lokesh played a key role in bringing back people from Andhra who were stuck in Nepal during recent unrest. After two days of coordination, all the stranded Telugu people were safely brought back to the state.
Nepal has been facing violent clashes for the past few days, forcing many to leave the country. Some Telugu people who had traveled there were unable to return. On learning about this, Lokesh immediately contacted officials and arranged a special flight. The passengers were flown back and landed in Visakhapatnam and Tirupati.
Videos from the airport show people expressing relief and happiness after reaching home safely. Many shared their gratitude on social media.
This is not the first time Telugu Desam Party has supported Telugu people in trouble. Earlier, during incidents in Uttarakhand and Shimla, special arrangements were also made to help those affected.
Leaders and citizens have noted that quick action and coordination made this rescue successful. For the stranded families, the safe return brought a big sense of relief.
