Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education, IT and Electronics Nara Lokesh has departed from Seoul by train to Busan, South Korea’s leading commercial and maritime hub, for a series of investment-focused engagements aimed at strengthening economic ties between Andhra Pradesh and South Korea.
During his visit, Lokesh will inaugurate the Andhra Pradesh External Engagement – Korea (APEX-Korea), an investor facilitation and outreach cell established by the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB). The initiative is expected to serve as a dedicated platform for supporting Korean businesses interested in investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh.
The minister is also scheduled to participate in a roundtable meeting hosted by the Korea Marine Equipment Association (KOMEA), where discussions will focus on expanding industrial collaboration and attracting investments across key sectors.
As part of his Busan itinerary, Lokesh will hold separate meetings with senior representatives of BNK Financial Group, Booyoung Group, and Hyung Sung Group to explore potential partnerships and investment opportunities for the state.
Later in the day, he will visit the Shoeals Footwear Factory to gain insights into advanced manufacturing practices. After completing his official engagements in Busan, Lokesh is scheduled to return to Seoul the same night to continue his South Korea visit.
