Ex-Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu had announced Amaravati as the capital of Andhra Pradesh State and had promised the farmers of Amaravati a great future in return for their lands acquitted by the Government for development. But tables have turned in the next elections and YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had reversed this by decentralizing the Capital to 3 different cities. We all know this story.
But will it stop there? Definitely, not. While Jagan is making way for his capital creation with all permissions from the Center, Naidu stands responsible for the Amaravati farmers. Therefore, he must react and stop this. Or at least show that he’s trying his best. This Visakhapatnam tour also is a part of these efforts by Naidu and TDP party.
Since YCP is aware that Naidu’s rally will manipulate public with anti-capital demonstration, the Police permit was declined and hence TDP had challenged to go ahead no matter what. This had turned ugly today afternoon when YCP members started to stop the convoy of Naidu from entering Visakhapatnam but also were throwing footwear on the cars.
Since both party members have come to airport in massive numbers, Police had to get into action. This had led to more protests from YCP saying Naidu must go back as he is the traitor of Andhra Pradesh State. Police are still trying to control the law and order situation at the spot.
