Telugu Desam Party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu has been trying for quite some time now to be allied with the Bharatiya Janata Party, with which his party was allied until the 2019 elections, which was when Naidu decided to shift his alliance to the Congress party. During that time, the political leader made many remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi that didn’t sit well with the PM and neither with the BJP’s central leadership, which has been ignoring Naidu’s attempts at an alliance in AP.
With the Parliament session set to begin on July 18th, Naidu is said to be keen on using the occasion to get in the good books of the BJP once again. He took part in a meeting with the members of the parliament from his party, three from the Lok Sabha, and three from the Rajya Sabha. The Lok Sabha MPs, Galla Jayadev, Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) and K Rammohan Naidu, and Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar from Rajya Sabha, were all present at the meeting with Chandrababu Naidu.
Naidu is said to have instructed them to socialize more with the BJP leaders in Delhi, and to make sure that the TDP gets a good impression with the BJP once again. With the Presidential elections all set to commence on July 19th, and with the TDP having declared its support to the BJP, it is to be seen if Naidu’s plan will workout.
