TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu had to face an embarrassing situation from the flood affected people, in his recent visit to few of the areas affected with the floods.
In a most sensitive issue like floods, where there was a huge loss of crops, properties and also money, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is not available in the state, to look after it.
Expecting to gain a political mileage over it, the opposition leader Chandrababu Naidu had visited Bhattiprole and Kolluru and tried to raise his voice against Jagan, for not being available to the public when they needed him the most. But shockingly, the people severely opposed Naidu’s comments and raised slogans in support of Jagan, saying “Jai Jagan”.
Aggrieved over it, Naidu threatened them with “dire consequences if they indulged in slogan-shouting instead of getting their elected representatives work for their immediate needs.”
At a sensitive time like floods, where a political leader is supposed to console the flood victims, Naidu warnings have created a severe uproar among the public and are now strictly going against the ex-CM.
It is not new for Naidu to threaten the public in this manner. Several times in the past, he resorted to similar acts, which is also one of the reasons for TDP’s massive defeat in the recent elections.
