Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday termed the ensuing general elections to the state assembly as well as Lok Sabha are as ‘real’ test before the people over heir sef-respect.
He said the state govt successfully implemented several welfare programmes and strived hard for the development of the state in all sectors despite of state bifurcation hickups. “Hence, I consider the polls as a test to protect the self respect of people of AP,” he added.
Speaking to media persons, the Chief Minister said that Modi govt has failed to fulfil state bifurcation assurances, including according special category status to AP. He said when we started demanding the central govt for fulfilment of state bifurcation assurances, Prime Minister Narendra Modi resorted to IT raids terrorising people. He said that both the central govt and Telangana govt are behaving like economic terrorists. Police raj is prevailing in Telangana.
Citing indirectly both the Central and TRS governments, besidesYSR Congress party have hatched a conspiracy together to destabilise his governent. He said conspiracy of these parties is evident from the complaint submitted by YSR Congress leader Vijayasai reddy to Election commission. Though they caught red handed they are unable to answer to the questions posed by TDP govt.
They submitted form 7 to delete the names in voters list. Central govt, TRS govt and YSR party president Jaganmohan Reddy are trying to remove the votes. He said such actions are prevailed in Bihar in the past. He appealed to people to be cautious till elections and monitor whether their names were intact in voters list or not. He said criminal action should be taken on those who misused form 7 to delete the names of others. He said voters should verify their names in voters list by dialling 1950 or through website. Youth should be cautious towards their votes.
He said YS Jagan’s crimes were made as a case study in Hardward university.
The Chief Minister said that though AP has right to rule from Hyderabad, he came to AP for development of the state. He said that the state govt successfully completed the construction of secretariat in 9 months.
The Chief Minister questioned why the YSR Congress party has filed to come to AP for five years. He said the YSR Congress started conspiring against TDP govt by sitting in Lotus pond. The YSR Congress turned to be submissive to TRS govt. Why should AP people vote for YSR Congress party when the TRS govt failed to distribute the assets between AP and Telangana so far and objecting several irrigation projects of AP.
He said Jaganmohan Reddy is happy in Lotus Pond and conducting press conferences from there. He said he should have contested in Telangana. He appealed to youth to think practically about their future and extend support to the party which work for their welfare. Describing the elections as an examination for people of AP, the Chief Minister said that all the organisations should think about the future of the state. He said that the state govt committed to improve the living standards of people by creating wealth. The state govt came to the rescue of people at right time through welfare programmes including pensions and opportunities for education. He said that the state govt came to rescue of people through loan waiver scheme and Annadata Sukheebhava.
The Chief Minister said that said that the central govt resorted to attacks on those leaders extending support to TDP. He said it is a question of self respect of people of Andhra Pradesh. The central govt resorted to humiliating people of AP. He said that better living standards were established in AP. He said that when the state govt started questioning the centre, they resorted to attacks on TDP govt. They are resorting to attacks on the economic roots of AP people living in Telangana.
He asked people to select a person who protects the state or else KCR will mortgage the state. He asked KCR `Who are you to dictate on AP? Jagan supporting KCR, who failed to divide the assets between AP and Telangana. He said Jagan should convince KCR to write a letter to centre stating that he has no objection for giving SCS to AP. The central govt is planning to pollute the elections.
The Chief Minister citing Jaganmohan Reddy indirectly, said that the person (Jagan) who is supporting Narendra Modi and KCR, who are planning to obstruct the development of AP has no right to contest the elections in AP. Everyone one should think even if one seat goes to YSR Congress it will be placed in TRS account. He said that they cannot tolerate the development of AP.
The Chief Minister appealed to people to support the TDP govt by assessing the welfare and development programmes implemented for the past five years.
