While TDP faced a miserable defeat in the AP assembly elections and is finding it tough to move forward, its position in Telangana is completely out of question. In the assembly elections held last year, TDP could only win two seats in the state, thus proving that even Andhra people settled in Telangana, are also in support of the TRS.
So it is anticipated that the party may not pickup in Telangana, in the near future. But the TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu is planning to field his party’s candidate in the upcoming by-election in Huzur Nagar.

Though the main fight is between TRS and Congress and both the parties are betting big in the constituency, even BJP announced its candidate. But as the Lotus party won four Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, it could be a ray of hope for the party members to win in Huzur Nagar too. But no one is unable to find the logic behind Naidu’s concentration on the constituency, when TDP is almost closed in the state.
It seems, Naidu is only aiming to disturb the voting percentage. On the other hand, it might also be an attempt to let the TDP sympathizers believe that Naidu is working towards getting back the lost glory to the TDP.
