TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu made some sensational comments about defections in his party.
Several times in the recent past, BJP leaders said that TDP leaders are in a row to join BJP soon. Referring to such comments, Naidu said that he is not at all bothered about any such defections as he will be able to get new leaders in place of such defected leaders and will be able to strengthen the party more effectively.
He further stated that there is no way for BJP to grow in Andhra Pradesh, in spite of any number of leaders joining the party. Along with AP, the Lotus Party is a closed chapter in Tamil Nadu and Kerala too, Naidu said.
As Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that special category status for AP is a closed chapter, Naidu’s latest comments are just being considered as the counter statements to the national party.
Inviting the new leaders into TDP, in place of those who leave, is expected to strengthen the party, as the new ones, will be able to contribute better and give their best, than the old leaders, who lost confidence on the party’s growth in the state.
