Akkineni Nagarjuna’s latest film Wild Dog is performing exceptionally well on Netflix. The film has been on the top of the trending list for the past few days and is showing no signs of slowing down just yet.
Elated with the response Wild Dog is getting, Nagarjuna is contemplating the idea of launching his own OTT platform.
Annapurna Studious, operated by Nagarjuna is bankrolling half a dozen small films which are going the OTT way. The initial plan was to sell these films to other OTT platforms. But now that Nagarjuna had recognised the reach and logistics of digital streaming platforms, he wants to launch his own OTT platform and release these films on the same.
Nagarjuna is in talks with his close friends and the discussions about floating a new OTT platform are progressing at a brisk pace. More details are awaited.
