Akkineni Nagarjuna is taking up criminal charges and defamation charges against Konda Surekha and the proceedings have commenced today.
The trial in the defamation case filed by actor Akkineni Nagarjuna against Telangana Minister Konda Surekha commenced in the Nampally court. Nagarjuna, along with his family members, including Naga Chaitanya, Supriya, and Naga Sushila, appeared in court on Monday as proceedings began.
During the hearing, the court questioned Nagarjuna about the reasons for filing the petition. In response, Nagarjuna provided a statement asserting that the minister’s remarks had harmed the dignity and reputation of his family.
According to Nagarjuna, Minister Konda Surekha had made disrespectful comments about his family, particularly regarding the divorce of his son, Naga Chaitanya, from actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The minister allegedly insinuated that former minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) played a role in their separation.
