Janasena Party has launched an intensive plan to strengthen its grassroots by speeding up the ‘Udyami’ membership registration campaign, with PAC Chairman and Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar urging leaders to connect directly with people and complete the drive in a planned, time-bound manner. Addressing a teleconference with parliamentary constituency coordinators ahead of the launch of the membership drive from February 26, Manohar said the programme reflects the vision and ideals of party president Pawan Kalyan and must be taken to every village and ward with commitment and discipline.
Manohar asked MPs, MLAs and MLCs to focus personally on the membership campaign while attending Assembly and Council sessions, and to devote their remaining time to party work on the ground. He said the ‘Udyami’ registration should be treated as a political outreach mission, not just a routine enrolment exercise. By meeting people directly, listening to their concerns and recording both positive and negative feedback, the party can strengthen its organisation and improve governance at the local level. He stressed that resolving local issues wherever possible will help build public trust in both the party and the government.
With the campaign set to run across the coming weekends, Manohar instructed leaders to hold weekly review meetings to track how many memberships have been completed and how many more can be achieved in each constituency. He called for clear field-level action plans from booth to constituency level and asked coordinators to prepare structured reports based on ground feedback. These reports, he said, will help the party design future programmes and prepare effectively for upcoming local body elections. He assured that the party’s IT team is ready to address any technical issues during registration and that a special coordination team at the central office will support leaders to avoid gaps in implementation.
Government Whip and political secretary to the party president, Pidugu Hariprasad, said renewal of existing memberships along with the addition of new members is crucial for expanding the party’s base. He emphasised the need to attract youth, especially Gen Z, to shape the future of the party’s politics. As per the direction of Pawan Kalyan, not only constituency in-charges but also other key leaders and seniors will actively participate in the membership drive. Each constituency is expected to identify 75 to 100 volunteers to facilitate enrolment of ‘Udyami’ members and ensure wider outreach.
Party leaders said Janasena’s membership has been growing steadily every year, reflecting rising public support. The previous drive saw around 12.6 lakh members enrolling, and the party has now set a target to cross double that number by expanding outreach with new goals and strategies. As this is the first membership campaign after becoming part of the government alliance, leaders believe the ‘Udyami’ drive will significantly strengthen the party’s presence at the grassroots level and prepare it for upcoming local elections. The party leadership expressed confidence that the people-centric approach and coordinated efforts across all parliamentary constituencies will give fresh momentum to Janasena’s organisational growth.
The party has appointed coordinators for all parliamentary constituencies and formed a central coordination team to ensure smooth execution of the drive across Andhra Pradesh. Leaders said the ‘Udyami’ campaign is not just about numbers but about building a strong, responsive organisation rooted in direct engagement with the people.
