Guru Randhawa was one of 34 people arrested in a raid and been delivered bail by Mumbai Police for flouting Covid-19 standards at Dragon fly club in Mumbai.
Besides Guru Randhawa, cricketer Suresh Raina and Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife Sussanne Khan was also captured and set free on bail after addressing the court notice.
The singer’s management team on Tuesday gave an explanation saying that the artist was unaware of the new night curfew rule announced by Maharastra government on Monday.
Guru Randhawa, who had ventured out for a supper with his companions prior to returning back to Delhi seem to have deeply lamented the accidental incident that happened the previous night. The full statement from the singer’s behalf read, “Unfortunately, he was not aware of local authorities’ decision of night curfew but promptly conformed to all rules laid out by the government officials and deeply regrets the incident. He promises to comply with government guidelines and protocols by taking all precautionary measures in the future. By far, he has been a law-abiding citizen and will continue to do so in the future as well,” read the full statement.
