The Andhra Pradesh government had filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court alleging that rebel MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju took Crores of rupees from media houses in a conspiracy to destabilize the state government.
Now, Mr Raju responded to the allegations made by the state against him. “So far we have heard in the media that Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan are being given the highest pay. But I am more popular than them. That is why I seem to have been given so much,” he told in a press conference at his residence on Monday evening.
“Without stopping rumours about getting paid for the interviews, they started circulating new speculation that I am going to resign to my MP post. The cancellation of my parliamentary membership is a lie. I did not violate Schedule 10. All the accusations levelled against me are meaningless. I will explain this to the Speaker of the Lok Sabha. Our regional party national general secretary Vijay Sai Reddy is very depressed. They are trying to disqualify me from talking about public issues,” Mr Raju said.
Krishna Raju also made several allegations about the YSRCP government and claimed that the nominated posts are allotted to only particular community leaders.
