As the nation is witnessing spurt in COVID-19 case load, all crowdy areas are being closely monitored. As Ramadan began, Muslims gathering at mosques have increased unduly. Eventually Mosques’ management team grew. Now they are being recommended to operate under stringent Covid-19 norms during the holy month of Ramadan.
Makkah Masjid is being flocked by the individuals to offer prayers in the early morning that started today. Due to the surge in coronavirus cases during second wave, both the Makkah Masjid Management as well as the state government has suggested people to strictly follow the Covid guidelines as there is high risk in these days.
Haafiz Mohammad Haneef, the Muezzin (the person who calls Muslims to offer the prayer) of Makkah Masjid, affirmed that all the required precautionary measures are being taken inside the premises of the mosque as ordained by the government. He said, all who come to offer prayers in Masjid are being advised through loud speakers to follow guidelines.
It is mandatory for everyone to maintain social distancing and wear face masks “We also tell the people not to come in contact with each other, as that might lead to the spread of the virus,” he added.
