Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit Tirumala on 9th of this month and have a darshan of the Lord Venkateshwara. BJP leaders and Cadre are gearing up for a grand welcome on the day. This would be his first visit to Andhra, after he took oath as the Prime Minister, for the second time.
While BJP has roared across the country with over 300 seats in hand, it couldn’t gain even a single seat from Andhra Pradesh in the recently held elections. So several opine that AP would be the last in the priority list of Modi.
But the PM however, assured his complete cooperation for the state, in his recent tweet, when he congratulated Jagan, after he was elected as the new Chief Minister of the state.
As Congress was identified to be the reason behind the separation of Telugu states, AP people completely ignored the national party in the recent elections and also in 2014. Now even BJP had to face the similar situation in AP, for failing to grant special category status.
As BJP was reelected with a thumping majority, AP government may find it tougher to convince the Centre for special status. However Jagan said that he would try his best to get Andhra, its special status.
