Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation today, after a small gap. While he did not make any shocking announcements, the Prime Minister gave a much needed alert to the people of the country.
The PM asked everyone to not neglect personal safety precautions of using sanitisers, and most importantly, wearing masks. He said that neglect at this point would doom the country, which is on its road to recovery at present. He said that the country’s recovery rate is highly impressive in the whole world, and that the health department is struggling day and night to handle the huge number of people who have tested positive so far.
On the other hand, Modi also said that the government is trying its best to make sure that, as soon as a vaccine is ready, it would be made available to the entire population immediately. He even said that vaccines are being developed at a rapid pace in India as well, and that everyone is trying their best to make a vaccine available as soon as possible.
While the address was aimed to be motivational, many are now wondering about the real reason behind the Prime Minister limiting his speech to just advising everyone to follow safety precautions at all times. There was a lot of speculation that Modi would make a huge announcement, and the lack of that has surprised everyone.
Many feel that the Central Government is satisfied with the way they carried out the lockdown and the unlock process, but fact remains that the lockdown was of no use.
