There has been a doubt to every person in Andhra Pradesh about the BJP’s stand on the AP Capital shift proposal. During the foundation day of Amaravati, it was Modi who laid the foundation stone and he allotted considerable funds for its construction.
Now, Jagan shifting the AP Capital from Amaravati may not please him but he can’t express it to the ever-powerful YS Jagan keeping his Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha strength in mind. However, Jagan never opposed Modi in any issue since he came into ruling. So, Modi has come up with a different game plan.
Bharatiya Janata Party Andhra Pradesh Incharge Sunil Deodhar asserted once again that the BJP-led Central Government would not interfere in the State Government’s decision to trifurcate AP Capital. But, at the same time, as a national political party, the BJP would strongly oppose the 3 Capitals decision of Jagan Reddy.
More ever, Deodhar said that BJP and Janasena would jointly hold protests for the justice of farmers in the capital region who donated 34,000 acres without thinking twice about their future generations for a great potential capital city. At the same time, he also clarified that the center cannot interfere in the issue because it is the privilege of the State to decide on its Capital City.
So, it is clear that Modi has no intention to support every grave decision being taken by Jagan and at the same time doesn’t want enmity with the AP CM. Hence, he is holding his ground for some more time and irking Jagan consistently. This process may continue till severe opposition arises in AP opposing 3 capital proposals and then Modi may take a firm stand on either side according to the situation.
