The COVID-19 pandemic is spreading at a rapid pace in India and this exponential increase in the COVID-19 positive cases is challenging the Indian Government to take some drastic steps. The death toll already crossed 100 in our country just a few minutes back and 3,000 COVID-19 positive cases have been reported till now. Only God knows how many people are going to get affected by this deadly virus.
Now, the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi has decided to take a humongous step under which 50 crore Indians will get free tests of COVID-19. Modi issued orders to the National Health Authority to take necessary steps for the implementation of the free tests successfully.
This COVID-19 test is now included under Pardhan Mantri Jan Yojana and the government is looking to form a partnership with Private labs who do not have permission for testing COVID-19 suspects yet.
Any private lab needs NABL’s accreditation and the government is thinking to give all private labs that accreditation to meet their demands as there is a huge spike in COVID-19 numbers in the last 4 days.
