One of the mementos, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi received, has been sold for Rs. 25 lakhs, thus making it to the news.
The Union Culture Ministry has conducted an e-auction from September 14th to sell a total of 2,772 mementos gifted to Modi, on various occasions. The amount that has been collected from the auction will be donated to Namami Gange Mission.
So one of the paintings, in which Narendra Modi and Mahatma Gandhi were seen in the tricolor background has attracted many. While the painting was given a price tag of Rs. 250000, which is highest among all the mementos, through the auction, it has been sold for Rs. 25 lakh.

Another painting, where Modi was seen taking blessings from his mother, was given a base price of Rs. 1000, but was surprisingly sold for Rs. 20 lakh in a bid.
All the mementos were put on display at the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi. Not only paintings, but there are several other objects like shawls, sculptures, musical instruments, etc in the auction and all such mementos were sold for a decent price.
A few of the popular mementos include Manipuri Folk Arts, which was sold in a bid of Rs. 10 lakh, while the base price was Rs. 50000. Even a metal sculpture, with base price of Rs. 4000 was sold for a whopping Rs. 10 lakh.
