It is known that BJP earlier pledged to form the government in Telugu States by the next elections. It seems, the Centre is now considering Amaravati farmers protest as the right opportunity.
After YSRCP witnessed a massive mandate in the 2019 general elections, even the survival of other opposition parties has become a question. Especially BJP could not even register a 1% vote share in Andhra Pradesh proving that the Lotus party has lost its base in the state.
But BJP still pledged to form government in the 2024 elections with the strategy that no one is aware then. Since then, the Lotus Party seems to be waiting for an opportunity to target YSRCP government. Finally, it is now considering the ongoing Amaravati farmers strike as the right weapon to succeed in Operation 2024.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sought the leaders for a detailed report on the issue. As the PM laid the foundation stone for Amaravati Capital construction in TDP’s regime, several women in Amaravati villages staged a protest holding Modi’s picture.
So the PM is thus planning to take initiative on the entire issue and sort out the farmers’ problems and thus gain the political mileage for the party in AP. It should be seen whether the timely initiative of Modi would help the Lotus Party gain any significance and gain votes in subsequent elections in the state.
