We know veteran actor and former Union Minister Krishnam Raju passed away on September 11, leaving the Telugu film industry in shock.
Today, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited the late actor’s residence in Hyderabad to pay his respects and console his family members. He met Krishnam Raju’s wife Shyamala Devi, his daughters and Pan India star Prabhas to express his condolences. The pictures of this meeting are currently going viral on the internet.
Sharing the pictures with Mr Raju’s family on Twitter, Rajnath Singh wrote, “Met with Prabhas and all the family members of Late Krishnam Raju Garu in Hyderabad today. I extended my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. May the Almighty gives them strength to bear this monumental loss.”
The Union Minister also took part in the condolence meeting arranged for Krishnam Raju. “Paid tributes to ‘Anna Garu’ and former Union Minister, Late Krishnam Raju at a condolence meeting in Hyderabad. He was a big star in the Telugu film industry but he was firmly rooted & well connected with his people. His demise is a personal loss for me,” he tweeted.
For the unversed, Krishnam Raju competed as the Congress candidate in 1991 from Narasapuram. He won the same seat as the BJP candidate in the 1999 polls and served as a minister in the Vajpayee cabinet till 2004.
