Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Perni Nani’s meeting with Mohan Babu has become a hot topic in both political and film circles.
It was heard that Perni Nani visited Mohan Babu’s residence on behalf of the AP Government to discuss the film ticket prices in the state as the latter couldn’t attend the meeting along with the Tollywood delegation, led by Chiranjeevi on Thursday. Vishnu Manchu’s tweet about this meeting has strengthened the speculations as the MAA president mentioned about ticket pricing issue and the Government’s plans for TFI in his tweet. However, it was modified later.
Now, responding to these rumours, Perni Nani said his meeting with Mohan Babu was personal. He clarified that he visited the actor’s residence after the latter invited him for a coffee, given their long association from 2002. He denied the news that they discussed ticket prices and informed that they discussed school and personal matters.
Nani also revealed that Mohan Babu had stated that he had not received an invitation to the meeting with CM Jagan and that if he had, he would have attended. He strongly stated that he was not sent to Mohan Babu by the state government to explain about the meeting that took place yesterday (February 10). Saying that he is not responsible for Manchu Vishnu’s tweet, the AP Minister also slammed opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu and TDP party for spreading false news about the government’s efforts to help the film industry.
