In Tollywood, small budget films and big budget blockbusters are succeeding, but mid range heroes are facing tough times. Vijay Deverakonda, Gopichand, Nithiin, Varun Tej, and Akhil are all waiting for a strong comeback.
Their recent films have not performed well, affecting their market value. Vijay Deverakonda, after multiple flops, is now pinning hopes on Kingdom, a spy thriller releasing on May 3. Gopichand is focusing on Gopichand 33, a thriller drama directed by Sankalp Reddy.
Nithiin, after a series of flops, is banking on Robinhood with Venky Kudumula. Varun Tej is trying a horror-comedy under Merlapaka Gandhi’s direction, while Akhil, still waiting for a solid hit, has a mass entertainer lined up with Murali Kishore.
All these actors need a big hit to revive their careers. Their upcoming projects will decide their place in Tollywood’s competitive industry.
