MG Motor India has joined hands with Jio Network for the Internet of Things (IOT) features in its upcoming mid-size SUV. Both the companies have connected to check the frequent internet connectivity problem in remote areas while travelling. They entered into a key agreement to ensure that customers are provided with uninterrupted internet access.
Hector and Gloster models from Morrison Garages (MG) India are already running on Indian roads. The company is all set to launch a mid-range SUV soon. However, the game changer feature is available for infotainment in this SUV. To this extent, it has teamed up with Jio Network which has created a sensation in internet connectivity.
MG Motors will add the feature of continuous net connectivity to the soon-to-be-released mid-range SUV. The technical support will be provided by Jio Network. The network providing company will provide e-SIM as well as other hardware and software to enable continuous net connectivity in the car. This allows the car to have 4G internet even when travelling in remote areas.
“Jio has been building an ecosystem of cutting-edge technology products and solutions for Indian users. Our partnership with MG Motor India is another important step in that journey,” Jio Director & President Kiran Thomas said.
