Global Star Ram Charan who became familiar across the globe, after the humongous success of RRR is picking stories that will appeal to larger sections of audiences. For his 16th movie, Global Star Ram Charan will be joining forces with sensational director Buchi Babu Sana who made a blockbuster debut with Uppena. Proudly presented by the Pan India production house Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Venkata Satish Kilaru is foraying into film production grandly with #RC16 to be mounted on a big canvas with mega-budget and high-class production and technical values under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas.
Today, #RC16 has been launched splendidly with the entire team and several bigwigs from the film industry gracing it. Megastar Chiranjeevi who attended the grandiose launching ceremony sounded the clapboard for the muhurtham shot on Global Star Ram Charan and The Celestial Beauty Janhvi Kapoor. Mega Producer Allu Aravind handed over the script, whereas Boney Kapoor switched on the camera. Ace director Shankar who is making Game Changer with Ram Charan did the honorary direction for the first shot.
Academy-award-winning composer AR Rahman who is part of this magnum opus has also made his presence for the occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, director Buchi Babu said, “Thanks to everyone, including megastar Chiranjeevi garu and my mentor Sukumar Garu. I was assistant director for Charan sir’s Rangasthalam. Now, I got the chance to direct Ram Charan garu. I promise you to completely utilize this opportunity. I didn’t expect my dream of working with AR Rahman would be fulfilled with my second movie alone. It happened because of Charan sir, Sukumar sir, Ravi, Naveen and Satish. I wanted an actress who has the stardom and fame of Janhvi. Fortunately, I got Janhvi.”
Sukumar said, “I’m Buchi’s mentor, only because I taught him maths. He didn’t learn anything from me. He fears everything. I was surprised when he wanted Vijay Sethupathy for the villain’s role in Uppena. After that, when I quizzed him about the hero of his next movie, he said Ram Charan. AR Rahman was his only choice to score the music for the movie. He then said the names of Janhvi Kapoor for the lead actress and Shiva Rajkumar for another important role. Buchi has confidence in the subject. He works very hard. Charan gave his nod, after listening to the story. I knew Satish as a friend of Ravi and Naveen. I’m happy that he is foraying into production with such a big project.”
AR Rahman said, “As Sukumar ji said, Buchi is crazy, but he has such great taste. He gave a folder of five different situations for songs. The enthusiasm he has is very infectious. We have kind of finished 3 tunes already. Thanks, and best wishes to him and the whole team.”
Ram Charan said, “As Rahman said, Buchi is really a crazy man. He is passionate about cinema. Sukumar gave only 38 minutes of narration for Rangasthalam. But Buchi gave me 2 hours of narration every day for 200 days in a caravan, during the making of the movie, when Sukumar was busy at that time. Buchi owned the script and injected that story into me. It’s not easy to get such a big team. I’m happy to be working with Sukumar’s best protégé i.e. Buchi Babu. It’s a pleasure working with AR Rahman sir. It’s a long-time dream for many people to see me and Janhvi Kapoor together doing a movie on the scale of Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari. Satish is always there with Mythri Movie Makers. Janhvi Kapoor, “I just want to say thank you to all. Honestly, I’m still pinching myself to be on the stage with so many people that I love and admire at this early stage of my career. I really feel like I’m truly blessed. Buchi came to me a couple of months ago to narrate this story. I saw the madness and passion in his eyes. I think I’m so gifted to be part of this team. Every time I’m here, it feels like I’m coming home. I hope I’ll make all of you proud.”
Boney Kapoor said, “Hyderabad used to be my second home. I’ve done about 10-12 Hindi films in Hyderabad. I’ve done 3-4 films in Telugu as well. I wish the entire crew a successful film. I’m sure Buchi Babu will put across a fantastic film. I was fascinated by his first movie Uppena which was produced by his guru Sukumar. At one stage, I was so keen to remake that movie. I don’t know film economics today, but I still have that desire. I forced my younger daughter Kushi to see the movie.”
Naveen said, “We want to thank Ram Charan Garu, Buchi, Rahman, and the entire cast and crew. Buchi has the habit of repeatedly telling his stories. He told me this story many times. This one is going to be a sure-shot blockbuster.”
