The outgoing YSR Congress government was particularly aggressive against the Telugu film industry over the last five years as impositions were enforced on ticket pricing and cancellation of benefit shows.
But now that the Jagan government has been uprooted and the Telugu Desam+ alliance is forming the government in AP, the good old days could be back for the film industry.
The first big event film to release after the onset of the TDP government would be Prabhas’s Kalki which is releasing on the 27th of June.
As per latest reports, Kalki will be getting the best possible release in all of AP. The producer of the film Ashwini Dutt is a stoic supporter of the Telugu Desam camp and he has close ties with the new CM Chandrababu Naidu.
So, there will be a freehand for Kalki in terms of ticket pricing and special shows in AP.
