Another mega hero Panja Vaishnav Tej has turned into hero. He has completed shooting for his debut movie Uppena which is carrying decent expectations. Makers have started promotions for the movie. Recently small preview of Uppena has been released and it looked impressive. Sukumar’s protege Buchi Babu has turned director with this movie. Mythri Movie Makers have produced this movie which is looking for April 2nd release.
According to the latest buzz Uppena has gone overboard with its budget. Makers have thought to make the film in just about 10 Crores but the budget exceeded limit and has gone to 25 Crores which is too much for a debut hero film. Trade is not positive about the budget.
This is worrying the producers whether they get the investment back as the hero is yet to gain the confidence of buyers. If trade doesn’t respond well, makers have to release the film with deficit. Even like hero, heroine is new to screen too and there are no factors except the content that could excite the buyers.
We have to wait and see how producers come over this.
