The Andhra Pradesh government is focusing on improving facilities in Tirumala, one of the most famous temples in the country. To provide better services to devotees from across India, CM Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to build a world-class modern bus station in Tirupati.
The proposed bus station will be spread across 13 acres and designed to handle the travel needs of one lakh passengers every day. It will have space to park 150 buses at a time, with separate entry and exit routes for smooth movement. The design also includes a helipad, ropeway, commercial complexes, malls, and multiplexes to give travelers a comfortable experience.
CM Chandrababu reviewed the project with officials from NHAI and APSRTC at the camp office. He stressed that the bus station should have solar rooftop power facilities and provisions for the future use of electric buses. Charging points will be made available for every bus.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that all bus stations across the state will be modernized step by step. He reviewed five design models of the Tirupati bus station and asked officials to further develop them after discussions with stakeholders.
