Pakistani singer Meesha Shaafi, who falsely accused actor Ali Zafar of sexual harassment, now faces three years of jail term.
Ali Zafar, who’s also worked in many Bollywood films, was accused of molestation by the singer during the #MeeToo movement in 2018. Following Meesha’s allegations, Zafar had filed a defamation case against the former and eight other women who named him for sensual misconduct.
According to reports, a court in Pakistan has awarded Shafi three years of jail term for making false allegations and ‘causing incurable damage to the actor’s career.’
Notably, Ali Zafar was last seen in Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Dear Zindagi’. He has also worked in films like ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’, ‘Kill Dill’, ‘Chashme Baddoor’ and more.
