BSP Chief Mayawati who visited Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday has participated in a press meet today, accompanied by the Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan.
Pawan said that he is pretty confident about the efficiency of Mayawati as a leader. She is the one who didn’t spare even her own party leaders, when they were found to be defective.
Speaking to the media, Mayawati said, “the Congress party completely failed in developing Andhra Pradesh, and so the Telugu states had to face the bifurcation. But even after it, the regional parties have continued the similar ruling, which further worsened the situation in the Telugu states. BSP, along with Janasena came forward, only with the intention of bringing a good ruling. It’s a good sign for the politics, to witness the young leaders like Pawan Kalyan. He enjoys a massive following among the youth. AP people are keen to elect the new people and are so looking towards Janasena.”
Mayawati opined that there are several dalits in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. “With the experience of serving the Uttar Pradesh as the Chief Minister for four terms, I’m now looking towards the Centre and aiming for the Prime Minister seat,” she said.
Along with stressing to support dalits to the full extent, Mayawati also said that she will work for the development of all the communities and also assured to provide the special status for Andhra Pradesh.
Special Status assurance to work big for Mayawati?
Even though the BJP is almost dead in Andhra Pradesh, none of its leaders, along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi have assured the special status, in any of their political campaigning in the recent times. But Mayawathi assuring the same is something, that should work as a good sign for BSP-Janasena alliance in the Telugu states. Adding to it, Pawan Kalyan already owns the credit of voicing up for the special status several times in the past, even when most of the other leaders ignored it.
