Earlier today, it was officially announced that Maruthi will be directing macho hero Gopichand for his next project. UV Creations and GA 2 Pictures will be jointly producing this film.
Now, we have an exclusive update on the film and it really is an interesting one.
Apparently, Maruthi is remaking Bollywood super hit film, Jolly LLB 2 with Gopichand in the lead role.
Jolly LLB 2 has Akshay Kumar in the lead role and it is based on a lawyer who takes on the antagonist after learning that the latter had inflicted harm to a woman who helped him out early in his career.
Maruthi-Gopichand project will have a very similar set-up. Gopichand will be reprising Akshay Kumar’s role in the film.
That could well be the reason why the announcement video released by the makers of Maruthi-Gopichand project had visuals that replicate a court hearing.
The first look poster and title will be out soon. The regular shooting is expected to commence in the next couple of months.
