A man posing as a police in front of the public and taking advantage of it, has been arrested in Hyderabad.
K Guruvinod Kumar (25), had appeared in several exams to get into the police department, but as he couldn’t clear any of such exams, he pretended to be an Additional Superintendent of Police, National Investigation Agency (NIA) in front of the people, making them believe that he cleared the related exams.
Kumar, a native of Andhra Pradesh, was residing in Golconda crossroads at Musheerabad. Along with several people, he also cheated a retired Major, pretending as police. With the Major’s support, Kumar met several IPS officers and clicked pictures with them, which he used for getting special preference in temples, hotels etc.
One fine day, Kumar has stolen a dummy pistol from the retired Major’s house, thinking it to be a real one. The Major who found Kumar claims to be false on the missing gun handed over him to the police.
A similar incident took place in Hyderabad a few days ago, when a B tech dropout pretended to be from a Intelligence department. Upon getting caught, he said that he was passionate about police job and so was pretending to be so, in front of the public.
