A few weeks ago, it was said that Sai Dharam Tej’s Solo Brathuke So Better would be releasing directly on Zee5’s digital streaming platform on a pay-per-view model. But things changed quickly after the unlock 5.0 came to effect and movie theaters were allowed to operate.
When we caught up with a source close to the movie unit, we came to know that the producers dropped the idea of direct OTT release after Zee5 quoted a relatively low amount.
With direct to digital release no longer being a feasible option, the makers of Solo Brathuke So Better opted for a theatrical release. But sadly for them, giving the film a theatrical release won’t be a straightforward job.
There is a whole lot of uncertainty over theater occupancy, footfalls, and other key logistics. It would be really tough to predict the theatrical prospects of a new release.
Nobody knows if the audience will risk Covid-19 transmission and come to movie theaters to watch new films.
The makers of Solo Brathuke So Better have announced that the film will be out in theaters this December but with current scenario in consideration, it needs to be said that they are in a tight spot.
