A massive and prestigious biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi titled “Maa Vande” is currently in the making with a huge budget of over ₹400 crore. Produced by M. Veer Reddy under the Silver Cast Creations banner, the film is being mounted on an international scale with high technical standards and a powerful emotional core.
Malayalam star Unni Mukundan will be seen portraying the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The film focuses on the powerful idea that a mother’s determination is stronger than any struggle, and presents Modi’s life through that emotional lens. Director C.H. Kranti Kumar is crafting the story based on real-life incidents, blending both the personal and political journey of the Prime Minister in a way that connects with audiences across sections.
“Maa Vande” is being made as a pan-India project and will release in multiple Indian languages along with an English version. The makers are giving special importance to visual quality, scale, and storytelling. The film is being shot using the ARRI Alexa 265 camera and Cooke lenses, making it one of the first Indian projects to attempt this globally. Advanced VFX and international-level production values are also being used extensively.
Hollywood actor Jason Momoa is reportedly being approached for a key role in the film, adding to the buzz around the project. Senior actors Raveena Tandon, Jagapathi Babu, and Sarath Kumar have already agreed to be part of the film after hearing the story, impressed by its depth and vision.
The technical team behind “Maa Vande” is equally impressive. Stunt choreography is handled by King Solomon, production design by Sabu Cyril, editing by Sreekar Prasad, cinematography by K.K. Senthil Kumar, and music by Ravi Basrur. The makers state that the film is not a routine biopic but a large-scale cinematic experience designed to leave a lasting impact.
The project has undergone nearly three years of pre-production, reflecting the effort and planning involved. The first shooting schedule has already been completed, and the second schedule is set to begin in Kashmir from the 22nd of this month.
