Sudheer Babu is struggling hard to score a hit under his belt and has pinned all his hopes on Maa Nanna Super hero. The makers are so confident that they have aired a special show a day before the film’s release. Let’s see if the film lives up to all the hype created.
Story
Jani(Sudheer Babu) separates from his father Prakash(Sai Chand) in dire circumstances. He is adopted by a wise man played by Sayaji Shinde. As time passes by, Jani is neglected by his father big time. One fine day, cops arrest Jani’s father and put him in jail. Left with no choice, Jani takes up the responsibility of bringing his dad back. The twist in the tale arises when his real dad also comes back into his life. Did Jani meet his real dad? and did he save his adopted father? What problems did he face is the basic story of the film.
What about on screen performances?
Sudheer Babu is a gifted actor but he does not get praised often. He has given his life and soul for the film and is superb in Maa Nanna Superhero.
The manner in which Sudheer Babu elevates the drama with his performance is so good to see on the screen.
Also, there are a few emotional scenes between Sudheer Babu and Sayaji Shinde which are emotional and Sudheer kills it with his dialogue delivery.
Sayaji Shinde is a perfect match as a strict father with ego issues. He does well and elevates the film superbly with his performance.
But the highlight of the film is Sai Chand who delivers a very endearing performance in the film.
The feelings that he showcases towards his lost son and his performance during the climax is so good to see on the screen.
The rest of the cast featuring Harshvardhan, and Raju Sundaram in a key do well in the film and add depth to the proceedings.
What about off screen performances?
Abhilash Reddy has directed the film and he has penned a beautiful story of a father and son. The presence of two fathers in a script is so good and makes the story interesting.
One of the biggest highlights of the film are the dialogues which have been written so well. Each of the dialogue is amazing and gives an emotional feel.
The climax of the film is also quite good and the drama that is elevated is so nice to see on the screen.
One of the biggest drawbacks of the film is the slow pace. The director takes forever to enter the main storyline and bored the audience initially.
Also, the film is quite predictable in many areas. In many scenes you exactly know what is going to happen next. Such is the premise.
But the best part is the emotions and drama keeps you entertained. Though the film might sound old school, it has good drama and scenes.
Yet another drawback is that the heroine does not have much to do in the film and is sidelined after a while.
The production values of the film are quite good and background score is also amazing.
The music is quite good and the songs are neatly oven into the story and the production design is also good.
The editing is a bit slow and the runtime would have been made crisp to give the audience a good feel.
