The film industry has taken a strong stance against YouTuber Praneet Hanuman, who made offensive comments about a father-daughter relationship on social media. MAA President Manchu Vishnu has publicly condemned the incident, emphasizing that action will be taken against such YouTube channels. In a video, he said that all the content makers of such channels to remove the defaming videos from their channels within 48 hours.
In response, the Movie Artistes Association has taken disciplinary action against five YouTube channels that have been spreading inappropriate content. These channels have been terminated, and the YouTubers have been issued warnings on the X platform and said that this is just the beginning.
MAA telugu posted on its official X handle saying, ” The crackdown has begun. Five YouTube channels have been terminated for posting derogatory comments about actors, their families, and personal attacks. This is just the start. We will continue to update the list as we take further action…”

While the action of MAA is widely appreciated and supported by the people, there are several other channels with dematory content on actors and actresses and it is to be seen whether these type of channels still run or not.
