Story
Love Reddy centers around Narayana Reddy (Anjan Ramachandra), a 30-year-old man who has been on a long and frustrating search for a bride, with no success so far. Meanwhile, his younger brother, Arun, is already in love but cannot tie the knot until Narayana gets married. Narayana’s world takes a sharp turn when he meets Divya, a compassionate government officer, and falls head over heels for her. As the love triangle between Narayana, Divya, and Arun develops, the story takes the audience on an emotional rollercoaster ride to know what will happen next.
What about on-screen performances?
Shravani Reddy, in the role of Divya, delivers an outstanding performance, bringing depth to her character with a range of emotions that captivate the audience.
Anjan Ramachandra, as Narayana Reddy, brings a natural charm and confidence, making his portrayal both effortless and layered which is good to see on screen.
N.T. Ramaswamy adds an emotional weight to the film with his strong portrayal of Divya’s father, creating a memorable impact in the film.
Ganesh D.S. also stands out with a well-developed character that adds complexity to the story. Ravi Kalabramha and others in Narayana’s family play their roles well.
What about off-screen talents?
The camera work in the film is quite good as the Rayalaseema has been showcased in a very impressive manner. The locations and shot-making are good.
The editing is not up to the mark as some boring scenes in the first half should have been chopped off to make thing looks good for the audience.
The background score is impressive and elevates the film to a decent level. The production design showcasing the village setup is also good.
Love Reddy has been directed by Smaran Reddy who directs the film on a passable note. But his narration in the first half is dull as there is a routine love story that is showcased.
Full marks to him as he showcased decent twists in the second half which engaged the audience. If he would have maintained the same temp from early on, the output would have been better.
The social issues are also handled well in the film. But after a point, they are showcased with dark humor which was not necessary at all by the director.
Love stories are always the same but how Love Reddy deals with love amidst crazy social issues has been dealt with quite well by the director.
