The IT minister of Andhra Pradesh, Nara Lokesh held the historic Yuva Galam Yatra which helped shape up his political career. On the occasion of this mega walkathon completing 2 years, Lokesh has shared an important and heartfelt image now.
“The Yuvagalam Padayatra is a rare memory that I will remember for a lifetime. The historic Yuvagalam Padayatra, which covered 3132 km in 226 days, overcoming dictatorship and restrictions, across 11 joint districts, 97 constituencies and 2,097 villages of the state, has been going on for two years now. The then rulers made no attempt to stop the Padayatra. From seizing the microphone vehicle to arresting the volunteers, they created difficulties in many ways.
No matter how many obstacles the then CM put up, the love shown by the people made me stronger. I saw the hardships of the people at every step of the Padayatra, and I still remember the tearful stories I saw that day. I remember every promise given. The people’s government works according to the aspirations of the people. We are implementing all the promises in a systematic manner. Special thanks to everyone who was directly or indirectly a part of the Yuvagalam Padayatra and to the people who supported me.” Lokesh tweeted.
This Yatra helped Lokesh transform from a CM’s son to a worthy hardened politician that TDP needed.
