Telugu Desam Party General Secretary, and MLC Nara Lokesh has received quite a strong warning from the Guntur police, following his comments on Social media, on the way the Police have been behaving, especially towards the SC Community.
Nara Lokesh is known to be very active on social media, in general, where he often posts his views, and scorns how the Jagan government is robbing the state and its people of what they deserve.
In his comments against the Guntur Police, Nara Lokesh stated that the Police department is especially being intentionally cruel towards the SC community, by carrying out unwarranted and unnecessary arrests. This statement was in reference to the Guntur police arresting Dalit TDP activist Maniratnam from Ponnuru , who posted a comment ridiculing local MLA Kilaru Rosaiah for inaugurating a compound wall on Wednesday.
The Guntur (Urban) SP R N Ammi Reddy gave a strong warning to Nara Lokesh, and asked the latter to stop spreading false news, and to stop projecting the Police department as against the SC Community. The SP also stated that Lokesh would be arrested if he did not stop posting such statements.
Despite the warning, Lokesh did not give up, and in turn questioned the SP as to why Maniratnam was arrested in the first place, and then released on bail. He challenged the SP to release the CCTV footage of Peddakakani PS, if the SP was telling the truth.
Dear @spguntururban Sir, if you really have guts, release the CC footage at the Peddakakani PS. Attaching a photo of Mani who was released from the PS. You must stop stooping down for your political bosses! https://t.co/Va1FwMHYcL pic.twitter.com/Ql4zGLD8ej
