TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh has once again launched a sharp political attack on former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. In a strong-worded post on X (Twitter), Lokesh accused Jagan of repeatedly misleading the public with baseless allegations of “vote chori” (vote theft) instead of accepting the real reasons for his electoral defeat.
Tagging Jagan directly, Lokesh said the only “hotline” that truly matters is the connection between the Telugu Desam Party and the people of Andhra Pradesh. He dismissed Jagan’s repeated claims of irregularities in the elections, stating that voters had removed him from power because they were “tired of his note chori” — a reference to alleged corruption and scams during his regime. Using drink emojis in his post, Lokesh hinted at issues that he claims Jagan is well aware of.
Lokesh further asserted that Jagan’s “baseless attempts to mislead” the people would not succeed. Highlighting the strength of the current ruling alliance, he said the “double-engine sarkar” — a term used to describe the combined governance of the Centre and the State under the same political alignment — is committed to delivering development and good governance.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh expressed confidence that Andhra Pradesh would once again rise to the top position in the country.
The war of words between the ruling TDP-BJP-JSP alliance and the opposition YSRCP has intensified in recent weeks, with both sides trading allegations over governance, corruption, and election integrity. Lokesh’s latest remarks add to the growing political heat in the state as parties prepare for upcoming local body and municipal elections.
.@ysjagan, our only true ‘hotline’ is with the people of #AndhraPradesh. Forget your ‘vote chori’ excuses — you were voted out because people were tired of your ‘note chori’ in scam after scam. 🍺🥃 You know exactly what I’m talking about.
Your baseless attempts to mislead will…
